We’ve been soaking up Revolutionary War history in Lexington and Concord, MA.
The photo above was taken at the historic Hartwell Tavern which is located on the “battle road” that British troops travelled on April 19th, 1775 on their way to Concord on a search and destroy mission for armaments. Their return to Boston from Concord was disastrous to put it mildly.
According to the ranger the smoothbore musket was so inaccurate it couldn’t hit the side of a nearby barn.
